Introduction

18Wheels Motorcycle Association or American Trucker Motorcycle Association is designed exclusively for commercial class A & B truck drivers and their spouse. Because of the nature of our job, there are no mandatory meetings, events or rides. Membership is open to men and woman, active drivers or retired. We are a Motorcycle Association, not an MC "Motorcycle Club", that gathers to ride and promote brotherhood among its members. We welcome all makes and styles of motorcycles and are always on the lookout for possible new members. 18WMA is a Motorcycle Association with no desire to become an MC. We are non-territorial, but we are political within the trucking and motorcycle world. Our members tie a blue & white rag to the left side of their bike so that other drivers can recognize them.

All officers within 18WMA are merely symbolic positions, they hold no powers. Because of the nature of our profession, there are no mandatory rides or meetings. Each member is here, and attends any event, by choice. From HQ to the Chapter President to the National President, each chapter is whatever each chapter member makes of it and officers are here only to point out any non-activity of a chapter and to offer help and assistance to any chapter president that has asked for it. No 18WMA officer has the power or authority to reprimand or punish any 18WMA member outside of what our bylaws allow them and each 18WMA member must treat other members of our club and others like they themselves would like to be treated. To those members that are unable to get along with other members of a chapter, please feel free to move to another chapter or simply leave. Members choose to which chapter they want to belong and are even welcome to belong to one chapter one week and another chapter the next. If your chapter is worth belonging to, they will come and they will stay! HQ / The 18WMA board is the final say in any matter concerning our members, officers and chapters. Please be mindful that there will be occasional, but minor changes, in our bylaws from time to time. These changes are mostly caused by growth and will be posted, if and when, any changes are made.

but with a patch that has "American Trucker" in white lettering instead of red.

of their jacket, the Associate Member will display a 4" support patch that has been pre-selected for their cut or jacket.
The Associate Member is allowed to vote in chapter affairs. Note: The support patch worn by Associate Members
is available for purchase by all members.
